SANTA ROSALIA: The contrast is strong with our last stop, KINO on the other side of CORTES SEA. This little town is more than a simple transit place for regular ferry linking GUAYMAS 72m away in SONORA. A couple of walking hours are enough to taste these clean streets, the well preserved colonial feeling from wooden houses and the colossal effort to preserve what we dump in Europe: the old giant french mine; if you add good restaurant and local courtesy, The spot has a fantastic touristic future and is already a jewel, even there is still many things to do; it deserve more than a day of visit . French run the copper mine almost 70 years, but WIKIPEDIA ll give you more...we just give feelings n pictures...

Unfortunatly, ALCYONE can't stay outside of the breakwater because GUAYMAS ferry need space to enter tomorrow and access inside is subject to marina pesos (8/foot)...anchoring inside is prohibited because of dragging...No problem: We ll leave today after a visit, a good restaurant and a light food refill in LEY supermarket: there are still anchoring places in BAJA for our cruising style like in 12m away "sweet pea"spot  in nearby isla SAN MARCOS; we have to rest !
