We could have splashed the cat before but some delay with an order postpone the splash from a few days, we rent a car to have a better idea of PUERTO PENASCO than the few restaurants at walking distance of the shipyard.

Mornings can be cold in winter here, sometimes, with northwind just above 10 degres,  and use the small heater for the breakfast, but as in many desert, the temperature rise quick and day conditions are very pleasant.

WIKIPEDIA will tell you all you need  about this small town, sometimes called Rocky Point or ARIZONA beach. History is around shrimp fishing, but investors -with more or less luck- try to attract dollars, with USA a few hours driving away . Regula flights are (still) missing. Unfortunatly, on first week end, we missed the nice tour offered by Salvador junior  owner of the shipyard; this could change what we got from the area...

Some pharaonic projets with or without golf courses collapse and you can see some condominium divided in 2 parts: The first part finished with still a lot appartment for sale and the second as a skeleton waiting more money to live...may be not the best place to enjoy holiday.

Sand and water are are the main natural attractions: Many americans arrive for the week end : Water is still cold to use fully the beach: some rent quads or other fancy ATV to play "mad max" around the sandy area and the tidal pools, others socialize in condos or trailers parks, but many enjoy the mexican cheap restaurants and bars...dollar is changes everywhere and often used in small transactions...After the week end, prices drop and city renew with quieter conditions.
