Efficiency n courtesy of the custom officer was prefect n we could get a 1 year cruising permit  n USA for 19 usd,  writing on the official receipt that "we did'nt know we had to require such licence before our arrival"n we learn this nice tolerance ll be not valid next time.

However, we ll not stay very long in Hilo: Jordan is not so interested,

I already visited the island in family a few years ago n

East wind ll blow soon, much more usefull than the usual North East to reach American coast. The public marina in Radio Bay is cheap with same price (docked or anchored as we do)  but not really attractive, behind a container terminal;  the alternative anchor spot  in the harbour is closer of downtown, at same price but with a real problem to dock the dinghy. We rent a car n refill a bit ALCYONE; "a bit "as the supermarket don' t offer really attractive processed food n the fresh market propose fruits at tourist price without any possible negociation. Anyway, during these 2 days,  we appreciate a nice restaurant in the tourist zone even if Jordan, a fast food expert succeed to feed later me with a "kim chi burger" !

The first week of navigation is like in a dream: never too much wind from the SE,  until a first calm in  the (in)famous zone full of garbage; after this vision, how can we still produce disposable plastics for our yogourt packages  ?
