OGEA is very closed to FULAGA and if you look for another feeling, this is the island: Presenting your Kava to the single village is a challenge as you must target not more than one hour around high tide. the sandy lagoon is very shallow. After a kava ceremony, we gave our small gift (fishing kit n ecological light) n this time, it was much more appreciated; the village is very small but has a school n chief ask us to come back next day. Teacher organized a dance and we could speak a bit about the life in this very isolated place; as soon as the kids leave the village school, as in many islands some kids go to SUVA the capital where some family give them accomodation to continue to study; as in many islands too, old and young generation live together as many adults get money in another place and come back for holidays. But fishing is still active here.
