150329 Marseillan IL before: saturday swimming party (64 pict.)


 Marseillan is a wonderfull place to eat oysters and any other food in the delicious restaurant along the "chanel"; but this is also one of the windiest place in France. 
   Carly will always remember this saturday morning when she was unloading her 420 from the roof of the minibus: A crazy gust sent the hull a few meters away and the boat landed...on her ! Fortunately she could leave the hospital in the evening but no way to participate to the regatta .

Anyway more than 30 crews including swiss crews wait along the "etang de THAU" until courageous commity try a start .
The race stop quickly near the windward marker as more than 8 crews were already swimming along their boats trying to extract the mast from the mud. 
   Bilou's windmeter showed a gust at 41 knots...Really time to go home !
Despite very bad forecast for sunday,  commity could launch 4 races as wind decrease.
  Thanks to the warm welcome of the CV MARSEILLAN  and this generous wind delivery !

Overall: Impressive swiss crew Maxime BACHELIN/Philippe PITTET won the 4 races, 2nd Jim VINCENT/Victor MAS (SRA), 3rd Lara GRANIER/Marina LEFORT (SRA).

 About Ladies, Lara and Marina finished first in front of Jessie KAMPMAN/Anael PONTHIEU (SRA) and Ema RIERA/Lea PERNET (CNV AIX LES BAINS)
