137km/h mistral in Avignon this sunday...Courageous Sanary club - a famous club nested in such a tiny sunny space - start on time the first race at 11am.

Wahoo !

I follow the PACA circuit since 2010, but the med never offered to me  such a magnificent show: Huge long waves under a glorious sunshine. But there are collateral damages: My autofocus is out and I understand with my froozen hand how hard it should be for the racers to sail to windward marker as  this wind is bloody heavy and cold !  Worst...even without moving the RIB, some waves manage to break on board...dangerous for the NIKON, anyway I took the risk with various result.

The regatta was cancelled during the first race due to a mooring accident on board of commity boat; fortunately nothing more than a in/out to hospital for a hand stitching.

A bit later some 420 volunteers sailed again for a wild training  but not for long: The sea is really dangerous, especially for the RIBS as it's really breaking anywhere. Coaches safely led everybody - even the former world champion - back into the small and cosy marina.
