What is this blog  ?

This blog "sea sail and us" follows many sailing events I participate with my NIKON.

Why this Blog ?

To allow friends, families or sealovers to download pictures directly from this site without delay.

This blog is born in spring 2014...after spending numerous hours on selective regatta's pictures, I rushed to give in a short time the access links to the website...a free gift and may be a good way to improve traffic for this class site...As later, some families contact me as they could never find these links...they pushed me to create this blog as the best and safest way to propose these pictures, this time with my watermark. Some parents told me they were happy to see their young sailor in action, even if the picture is not the best; that why quantity of pictures is a priority on this blog and I try on each event to catch all sailors at least once.

Beside10 years of cruising life around the world, I could spend more than 1 year in each of these countries: Germany, Mexico, Brazil, Spain, Hong Kong and Australia. As a citizen of the world with most of my friends abroad, I choiced the universal bad english of this blog to communicate.

How it's works ?

The youngest event will be always uploaded as soon as possible;  but I'm building  a "retroblog" to

Step by step, I ll upload older events 2013, 2012 and so on...until my son

Jim started OPTIMIST in Hong Kong in 2009. Most of

100 regattas on 3 continents could be there one day.

More recent event will be the first on the site...older ll arrive step by step including OPTIMIST until 2009.

=> 2014 and 2015, mostly 420 are on this blog...From mai 2015, out of exception, I'll not display any new picture about regattas located in same places than 2013 or 2014. Why doing it on same places and almost same boats ?

All pictures are uploaded in decent "JPEG high quality, large file"with watermark as 2015@Yann Vincent;

this quality allow easy web use, even a decent definition (1200x800 at 0,6mb) for a sponsor research.

Anybody can upload free as many as he want but for a strict personnal and family  use. Price to pay is to endure my watermark and... the crazy number of pictures but this is the only way to find some you are concerned.

We buy a new catamaran after the scholarship break of Jim'... back to sail and freedom 12 years after our family circum navigation on PAPOOSE (1998)2004),  our first beloved OUTREMER 55light .
