Covid still create a mass: in LA CRUZ anchorage and marinas of PUERTO VALLARTA , many americans decide to stop or to sail north to Baja...or to reach us west coast through Hawai,

French Polynesia is still closed but cruisers  friends in Tahiti confirm some possibilities with derogations...we ll try this solution. Anyway the world cannot continue to be slave of a virus; in Mexico, life continue with the covid and we have to learn than everywhere !

We still expect a next opening of the borders. We read good move in this direction after 1st of may, But we can't wait wst pacific hurricane season here..We ll leave in a week for south pacific and If impossible to land, we ll sail further...after all we have 6 month autonomy on board !

I strongly believe that the most stupid regulations cannot fight against human good sense....and humanity is not designed to leave in a jail !

Where is the covid risk for any island to receive a boat after 3 weeks of sailing ?

We try to find another crew after the dismiss of Pierre; excellent website "find a crew" was reactivated a week ago in BAJA and we got 4 serious propositions from crew in MAXIXO.  Scott, a kiwi is in the area n we can see him on sunday. Both situation match perfectly and  he ll board on wednesday, 2 days before expected departure...

Let's fill the cat now...Puerto Vallarta is from decades a famous resort and some stores like WALMART, SORIANA or LA COMER offer a very good choice of product...This time price is noy important: we ll not spend almost nothing the coming 3 months before TAHITI .

Thermic wind blow strongly in LA CRUZ anchorage between 13h n 19h. This can move the dinghy ride to the marina's dinghy dock in a wet party; we adapt,  spending a full "internet" day on board n leaving for downtown rides with a marina return

around midnight when the sea is flat like a mirror...

no problem as the local big stores are open until 23h00...

First day is dedicated to information with a bit of tourism...

...good news: some "supermercados" offer pretty good choice...

...n PUERTO VALLARTA  is a clean city with very fine places...

\

...including eclectic leather shop "Rolling stone"...

LA CRUZ anchorage: internet full day, a luxury for us...

...but time spent on good site "Find a crew"pay: we find Scott !

...A last toy on board to approach atolls with the swell...

...the big food loading party ll last 2 exhausting days...

...this time with diet smart advices from SCOTT...

Wahoo ! Unninvited guest on board: Banderas bees !

How theses tiny creatures can do that in such a short time is a nature prodige; fortunatly, I open the  zipper behind, allowing sea breeze to blow on the nest and next day they were all gone !

.

..we load equivalent of 5 CARREFOUR caddies...

but late deliveries push us to play with the sea breeze...

Ready last evening gourmet dinner on 2nd floor of Yacht club...we leave tomorrow 23 april
